MUSALAHA

MEANS RECONCILIATION

Reconciliation is a Verb

An active verb. Reconciliation does not happen without people willing to take a risk and act. Musalaha Executive Director Daniel Munayer says: "Reconciliation is an active pursuit of justice, truth, and healing, a powerful and costly endeavor. It is not about...

“Be Aware!”

Dr. Salim Munayer preached in Seattle, Feb. 9. "Be aware and courageously self-reflective and join the suffering of the oppressed." He reminds us that the call to reconciliation (2 Cor. 5) is a call to act. Justice and reconciliation go hand-in-hand. Dr. Munayer...

Prayer of Lament

How to pray in this time? Here is Musalaha’s Lamentation: “We at Musalaha lament the devastation and unfolding tragedies in Gaza and Southern Israel. We stand firmly against the embrace, use, and justification of violence against civilian populations in the name of...

About

Musalaha transforms lives!

Musalaha is a faith-based organization that teaches, trains and facilitates reconciliation, mainly between Israelis and Palestinians from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds and international groups, based on biblical principles of reconciliation.

Musalaha US is a group of Americans who have seen how MUSALAHA transforms lives and builds bridges of peace between Palestinians and Israelis. Musalaha has changed us, too. We want to support Musalaha’s ministry of reconciliation in every way we can. We are Musalaha.US, a non-profit 501(c)3 U.S. corporation* founded in 1998 to support reconciliation in the Holy Land.

We receive donations of financial support from individuals, churches, and private foundations interested in peace-making and reconciliation. Many of our donors have participated in visits to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the West Bank, summer camps, and desert encounters in the Wadi Rum. Musalaha impacts thousands of persons each year across many segments of society, all engaged in building bridges of peace—Palestinian Christians, Palestinian Muslims, Secular Israeli Jews, and Israeli Christians.

Musalaha Means Reconciliation

Literally, it’s the Arabic word for reconciliation, مصالحة. In Hebrew, it’s מוסאלחה. In English, we say, “Musalaha.”
